Friday October 11, 2024 - RTJ Grand National

Last day in Alabama and we were able to hook up with Uncle Kipp at RTJ - Grand National.   We had a tight schedule so we couldn't play with him and his buddy but Trevor was able to play the beautiful short course.

Video First full day in Orange Beach and the kid played the Arnold Palmer designed, Craft Farms.   Beautiful track about 10 miles from the beach.   Watch video for awesome chip shot.

Tuesday June 25, 2024 - Summit Tour at GVR

Pretty good tournament at Green Valley Ranch as the kid went 83-79 in pretty high wind to capture his first top ten on a major junior event.   When I registered him for the event he had an 8.6 handicap but right before the tournament started he got down to 7.8 so they pulled him into the Elite Junior division (handicaps under 8.1).

Sat Apr 20 - Sun Apr 21, Whirlwind Golf Course

JGAA Tournament Well all of the extra work has been paying off.   Despite a few doubles, the fired back to back 83's and hit an amazing 21/28 fairways in regulation - a MASSIVE improvement from prior tournaments.

Well, practicing for just 45 minutes each morning just wasn't cutting it as the boy has struggled mightily with his game, firing in the high 80's his last few tournaments.   We did some schedule rearranging and asked the GM at Raven if there was anything Trevor could do in exchange for playing a few holes in the afternoon.   We met with Kevin Weber and the head golf instructor, Barry Hand and Trevor's new responsibilities are: Calibrating the yardage board each morning on the range to the correct distances to each hole Clearing off all of the range balls on the first hole Fixing as many ball marks on every green he plays What an amazing setup we have here.     Here he is hitting errant range balls from the #1 fairway back onto the range

Thursday October 5, 2023 - Muscle Shoals, AL

Trevor played The Shoals - Fighting Joe course with Bill Beumer, the head golf coach at Grissom High School in Huntsville.   The state championship is being played at this course so he wanted to get familiar with it.   Trevor got off to a rocky start but birdied back to back holes to finish the front nine and cruised to an 82 on yet another great course.
