Saturday July 1, 2023 - MAXD Tournament

Sky Ranch Golf Club. Sterling, CO

Well the boy got off to a bit of a rocky start with bogey/double on the first two holes but then ran off 7 pars in a row to finish the front nine +3. 7 GIRs on those 7 pars. Unfortunately he went triple/double on holes 13 and 14, and didn't even make a horrible shot - just a lack of course knowledge and some straight up bad luck. Finished +10 on the back for an 85 but struck the ball much better than the first two tournaments.

This was definitely the best course of the three tournament venues as well. The two other kids were great - Will and Drake, as were their parents. Very nice people.

Sunday April 30, 2023 - PING Junior Interclub

Played a practice round on Friday and the boy did much better than the last couple of weeks. No question he plays much better on good courses. Today he had three shit holes that did him in (+10 on those holes) but went +4 on the other 15. Crazy. Finished with an 86. So much better than the last couple of weeks on those shitty courses. Lauren and Doug came out to watch the front nine.

Monday January 30, 2023 - GolfTec Swing Analysis

First time ever at GolfTec and it was so much better than I expected. Our guy Trey really knows his stuff and he could describe the swing style of any PGA Tour pro out there. He identified two key areas of imrovement - the shoulder tilt (not enough) and the hip sway (not enough). After about 45 minutes, Trevor got those areas up where he needed and inreased his distance dramatically. It was tricky to really connect after making those changes, but when he did, he hit his 7 iron 175 yards. Insane.

Saturday October 8, 2022 - X3 Tournament

Royal Palms Golf Course, Mesa, AZ Amazing Day! Just got back from Alabama the night before and the boy goes out and starts the round -3 after 4 holes including an ace on #4 from 96 yard out using a gap wedge. He finished up -1 on the round to win by 4 strokes.
