Monday July 11, 2022 - The Open Championship Trip

 Day Four

Drove to Wallasey and got an amazing private of the clubhouse tour from Ren.   This was the first links for each of us.  I fired an 82 and the kid came in with an 85.   Bobby Jones loved the course and a Wallasey member painted his portrait, which hangs on the wall and has been valued at well over $3M.

Thursday October 5, 2023 - Muscle Shoals, AL

Trevor played The Shoals - Fighting Joe course with Bill Beumer, the head golf coach at Grissom High School in Huntsville.   The state championship is being played at this course so he wanted to get familiar with it.   Trevor got off to a rocky start but birdied back to back holes to finish the front nine and cruised to an 82 on yet another great course.

Monday July 26, 2021: Castle Rock, CO

The boy and I had an absolute blast with Cliff and his buddy Normy.   Normy looks very much like Jim Furyk.   I LOVED this course - lots of elevation changes in a gorgeous setting.   The kid shot an 81 and notched his 10th birdie of the year when he drove the green on the short par four 9th hole and two putted from the first cut.   His reward was a ride in Uncle Cliff's Ferrari back to his place where we hung out for a couple of hours before our flight home.

Well after a completely revamped practice schedule, the kid put together his most complete round ever in tournament play and shot a 75 at Leisure World.
