 X3 Tournament Championship - final tour stop.   The boy was in 3rd place overall and the only chance he had to win it all was to win the tournament and have both Conner (2nd overall) and Chase (leader) place 7th or lower.   That wasn't going to happen.   He just had to beat Cruz Cooper (4th overall) outright to maintain his position at 3rd overall - and he did. He birdied holes 3 and 5 and went into the 6th hole at even par.   Doubles on 6 and 8 cost him but he finished strong with a par on 9 to end up +5, good enough for 2nd place behind Chase, who finished +3.

 Played a practice round at Royal Palms prior to the X3 Championship tour final.   First time I ever broke par, but it comes with an asterisk since the par fours were insanely short:

 Golf Club of Estrella - Insanely high winds got us the entire round, put we managed to keep the ball in play for the most part.   The kid shot an 88 with two birdies, I shot an 85.

 Absolutely gorgeous day at Legacy - first time Trevor has played it.   Second of three consecutive days of golf for us.   He shot an 85 and I shot 81.

 The practiced all day at Southern Dunes and then we played in the afternoon.   We avoided most of the bunkers there somehow stayed in the 80's.   Trevor 87, Dad 86.

We have ourselves a winner!   The kid has a doubly bogey on #2 but went even par the rest of the way to finish +2 and took the it all at X3.   First tournament win there ever after a couple of second place finishes.   Still has to make up 42 points on Conner for first place with just three tournaments left.
