Friday June 19, 2020: Casa Grande, AZ - first round ever

First round of golf ever. Played 9 holes at Mission Royale in Casa Grande. They charged me the resident rate of just $10 (including cart) and let Trevor play for free as a junior. This is his first tee shot ever, which was about 80 yards down the right side.

Sunday April 30, 2023 - PING Junior Interclub

Played a practice round on Friday and the boy did much better than the last couple of weeks. No question he plays much better on good courses. Today he had three shit holes that did him in (+10 on those holes) but went +4 on the other 15. Crazy. Finished with an 86. So much better than the last couple of weeks on those shitty courses. Lauren and Doug came out to watch the front nine.

Monday July 26, 2021: Castle Rock, CO

The boy and I had an absolute blast with Cliff and his buddy Normy. Normy looks very much like Jim Furyk. I LOVED this course - lots of elevation changes in a gorgeous setting. The kid shot an 81 and notched his 10th birdie of the year when he drove the green on the short par four 9th hole and two putted from the first cut. His reward was a ride in Uncle Cliff's Ferrari back to his place where we hung out for a couple of hours before our flight home.

Thursday October 14, 2021

The kid won his 3rd school tournament at Shalimar by 6 strokes. He was +5 on nine holes and was pretty consistent.
