 This was soooooooo cool.   They asked if we wanted to kick back our 1:30 tee time to 12:36, and it's a good thing we did because otherwise would not have met Karen and Leon from Reno.   Super cool people in their 60's that were very laid back.   The kid teed off on the final hole needing a par to post a 79 but he bogeyed for a honorable 80 - beat me by three strokes.   In addition to the victory, the boy also won the affections of Leon and Karen.   We had so much fun.   

 Second X3 tournament of the year.   The boy and I had a practice round first and then he played, but nothing was really clicking.   No OB shots, no lost balls, no hazards - just inconsistent.   He shot a +9 over nine holes for a 37, good enough for 4th place.

 The kid won his 3rd school tournament at Shalimar by 6 strokes.   He was +5 on nine holes and was pretty consistent.   

Video Absolutely phenomenal day at Oakcreek in Sedona.   Spent Thursday and Friday in Munds Park with Lauren and Doug, then stopped in Sedona on the way home.   I shot an 78 and the kid shot an 81 after some below average tee shots.

 The kid won his second tournament of the year today over kids from Cicero and Fountain Hills.   He actually tied for first with one other kid from Cicero as they both shot 39, three stokes over par.   

 Golfed with Coach Kyle and Uncle Kipp at McDowell Mountain today.   Unfortunately, they were prepping for overseeding so it was very dry but it was still fun to get out together.   As expected, Kyle and Kipp got along very well.   The kid shot an 80 from the forward tees.

 The kid came in third today at Ken McDonald after a fairly poor round.   Was 8 over after five holes but then settled down and finished par-birdie-par-par to finish +7.
